Hoodlebug is brimming with contests of endurance and friendly competitions.  Neat contests include the Hoodlebug 5K to the horseshoe throwing competition to a hula hoop competition, polka contest, and a donught eating contest.  Even though they start early, it is not till the ceremonial flag raising at noon that the festival is considered officially underway.  …
