Where can you find cloggers and line dancing all through the day? Well – ok, since we are in the Dutch Country Roads region, there are plenty of festivals like that. But, if you are in the mood for corn, the Shippensburg Corn Festival is the only place you want to be!
The Corn Festival is held on the last Saturday in August.
Shippensburg closes their main streets to traffic for this event and there are more than 300 juried arts and crafts booths.
But wait, what about the corn you say? Without a doubt, you can find corn items and crafts, corn husk brooms and THE FOOD! Yes, in each of the food booths you will find samplings that include corn from chicken corn soup, to corn fritters, corn dogs and, yep, corn on the cob!
There is plenty of entertainment from music to dancing, clowns to antique cars. Check the festival website for complete, up-to-date information.
