Pigs on Penn Bacon Festival

This day-long event benefits York City’s oldest indoor farmers market. The Market is comprised of small, independently-owned businesses which carry on the rich tradition of city markets. Promoting the popularity of bacon, the festival will appeal to all ages. Opening with a Blessing of the Bacon, the Pigs on Penn Bacon Festival will feature kids’ events and learning activities plus contests for adults. Ever wanted to kiss a pig? Think you can call a pig? Want to nominate your friends to be chosen as the Bacon King and Queen? The Bacon Festival has it all.

This event was conceived as a means to further initiatives such as a learning center for inner city children to gain first-hand knowledge about where their food comes and the start-up of an indoor growing garden. The Pigs on Penn Bacon Festival is fun and engaging for all. We invite you to join the fun!
