The Kettle Creek Valley Outdoors Show is a one-day-only family oriented event designed to celebrate the natural beauty and resources of the surrounding Kettle Creek Valley. Held in Potter’s County – which is often dubbed “God’s Country” – the Outdoors Show has something for the nature lover in everyone. Whether that love be hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, or riding, it is represented here through a slew of events exhibits, and vendors. The Outdoors Show is a beautiful if not quaint testament to the natural beauty of Pennsylvania with a mission to help preserve it for generations to come.
The Outdoors Show is only a one day event so be sure to arrive early and enjoy all the amazing events packed into this tiny show. Scheduled events change from year to year, but typically there are two or three lectures from regional and local experts. Topics can range from timbering, to the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps. There is also an officially sanctioned Turkey Calling Contest with cash awards and trophies going to the winners. There is a photo contest designed to showcase the regions natural beauty and visitors to the show can vote for their favorite. A trophy wall with mounts of Pennsylvania Wildlife
The Outdoors Show is vehemently committed to preserving and conserving the natural beauty of the Kettle Creek Valley. As such, many of the booths at the show are often represented by local and state non profits with a mission of conservation. The vendor aspect of the show is relatively small, but there are a handful of craft vendors selling mostly nature-oriented goods and a few gun dealers as well. The Outdoors Show has a mission to help. Food vendors consist of a sponsored café where all menu items are cooked to order on site. Breakfast is sparse and consists of mostly breakfast style sandwiches. Lunch is a full menu and includes homemade soups, hotdogs, sloppy joes, and Deb’s Famous Pulled Pork.
Doors usually open at 9:00am and visitors are encouraged to arrive early to experience all the events. Admission is free and parking is free.
