Started in 1997 as a way to keep park employees working during the off season, Lakemount Park’s Holiday Lights on the Lake has grown quickly into an amazing and widely respected holiday spectacle of lights and fun. Visitors to Holiday Lights on the Lake will drive through the classical-style Lakemount Amusement Park and enjoy over fifty acre of gorgeous lights. The show is loaded with striking professional displays. Holiday Lights on the Lake is a unique experience sure to stay with you long after you leave.
As you drive through Holiday Lights on the Lake, listen to holiday music on Lakemount’s private radio station. It is a truly unique experience to be amongst the roller coasters and carousals with this abundant holiday cheer. It is quite literally like having an amusement park all to yourself, but even better because Santa is there! And since the displays are in operation for nearly ten weeks there is plenty of time to see the spectacle. The long periods spread out traffic and make the experience very enjoyable. As a special treat, the week before Christmas visitors can reserve a carriage or wagon to experience the lights.
Stop in at Santa’s Village after the drive. Kids can get their picture taken with Santa and there is a very impressive train display with over eight hundred feet of track. The refreshments are no joke either. Items like cappuccinos, churros, and Passanita Soups accompany the more traditional fare items. Stop by the gift shop to pick up your special ornaments and gifts.
Admission is by the car and price varies by passenger class. Parking is free.
