Every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the annual Beaver County Festival of Trees turns the old lodge at Brady’s Run Park into a whimsical Christmas wonderland. For three weekends visitors can navigate a beautiful assortment of wreaths and trees decorated in fun and fanciful themes. Plenty of amazing varieties are on display, from all-white trees, to Steelers-theme, to glass ornaments. Some trees are very traditional and some are down right silly, but all are beautifully and skillfully decorated by an army of devotional volunteers.
In addition to enjoying the trees and wreaths, visitors can stop by the Candy Lane Gift shop where there are little trinkets and crafts for sell. Purchase homemade candies or fragrant candles or beautiful handmade ornaments. Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa are also known to make an appearance.
At Festival of Trees, the decorations and lights and gifts are spectacular, but what makes this festival really shine is their dedication to charity. Festival of Trees is an all-volunteer event. The great people at Festival of Trees work all season long to bring entertainment and Christmas spirit to visitors, while all the money raised goes to support local children’s charities. There is a spectacular raffle full of amazing prizes such as local crafts and gift cards, and there are Steelers tickets and Penguins tickets to be won. Join in the raffle guilt free, knowing your bids support a great cause! The last weekend of the festival all the trees are auctioned off and the proceeds also go to support local charities for children in need.
