Beer festivals are pretty cool on their own merit, but the guys at the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) may have found the most perfect enhancement to that already cool event: classic cars. Autos and Ales is the annual beer festival/antique car show held at the stunning AACA museum in Hershey. And it is top-notch quality all around.
On the one hand: enjoy fine select beers from nearly a dozen breweries. Beer selections vary but most are from Pennsylvania and most are micro brews. As a bonus, the ticket gets you a heavy commemorative beer mug. The food is also impressive. Vendors in the past have included the likes of Moe’s Southwest Grill, Top That, and Cabot Cheese. Also, cooking demonstrations will show you the perfect dishes and foods to pair with your ales.
On the other hand: enjoy classic cars like Ford’s 1920 Model TT Truck and the 64 Studebaker. This festival is held in a fantastic museum, so enjoy the exhibits while you partake of the festivities. The AACA Museum is renowned worldwide for its car collection. On display at any time are nearly one hundred cars from over eight decades of history. Also as part of the festivities, enjoy live entertainment and raffle drawings for cool door prizes.
With plenty of classic cars and plenty of fine-crafted beer, this event is sure to get the motor running! Autos and Ales wraps up pretty late, and considering the big selection of suds, it should be noted that there are plenty of great hotels in the Hershey area if you need to crash.
